About
Booking software that does not take a cut
Booklino is for people whose work happens at a time and a place, and who lose money every week to a booking system that is a phone, an inbox and a paper diary.
Why we built it
The two bad options
A small appointment business generally gets offered two things. The first is a marketplace: it brings you customers, and it takes 15 to 20 percent of every booking, forever, including from the regulars who already knew your name. The percentage grows as you grow, which is exactly the wrong shape.
The second is a booking system built for a chain of forty locations, priced accordingly, with a setup process that takes a week and a features list you will use a tenth of.
Booklino is the third option. A flat monthly price, zero commission, and a page you can have live the same afternoon. We are not a marketplace: we do not bring you customers and we do not pretend to. You already have customers. They just cannot reach your calendar.
How we decide things
Four rules we hold to
Never take a percentage
The moment we take a cut of a booking, our interests and yours come apart. The subscription is the whole price and it stays that way.
Your customers are not our audience
We will not email them, market to them, or use them to sell Booklino to somebody else. They came to see you.
Boring where it matters
Availability, money and permissions are decided on the server, and tested. The interesting engineering belongs somewhere other than your takings.
Say what is not built yet
There is no SMS, no point of sale and no independent security audit. We would rather tell you now than have you find out in week three.
Where we are
Netherlands first, and honestly early
Booklino launches in the Netherlands: euros, Europe/Amsterdam, iDEAL, and an EU data region. The platform is built so more currencies and languages can be added, but we would rather do one country properly than five badly.
Right now we are setting up the first pages by hand, with a small number of businesses. We build your page with you on a call, you use it with real customers, and you tell us what is wrong with it. That is a slower way to launch and a much better way to find out what is broken.
If that sounds like the software you wanted, take it for a fortnight
